QED Schools Group launches Future Skills partnership with 8billionideas

QED Schools Group has partnered with 8billionideas to bring a shared Future Skills experience to pupils at Wycliffe College, Warminster School and Lomond School.

From May 2026, students will take part in Future Skills Week, followed by a group celebration in June. From September, every pupil aged 4 to 18 will access the 8billionideas Online Academy. This includes a 30-week programme, six accredited courses each year, and weekly mentor sessions.

This is about turning ideas into action.

The programme sits alongside academic learning and helps students build real world skills like communication, collaboration and creative problem solving. Through hands-on projects, they explore entrepreneurship, from early ideas around value and creativity to bigger challenges in innovation, sustainability and business design.

Students learn to think differently. To create. To lead.

Anita Gleave, CEO of QED Schools Group, said:
“This partnership gives every pupil the space to ideate, prototype, pitch and lead. It is an investment in confidence, creativity and future readiness.”

Mark Mortimer, Chief Education Officer at QED, added:
“It is structured, accredited learning that strengthens the curriculum and builds the skills universities and employers are asking for.”

David, CEO of 8billionideas, said:
“Every student deserves the chance to build future skills as part of everyday learning. This partnership makes that happen at scale.”

From September, more than 1,000 pupils will take part, making this one of the largest 8billionideas rollouts to date.
