8billionideas Extends Partnership with Apex2100 International Ski Academy to Elevate Global Student Performance
LONDON. 8billionideas announces an extended 5-year strategic collaboration with Apex2100 International Ski Academy, aimed at expanding educational and performance training opportunities for students worldwide.
The partnership, which kicked off in 2022, now seeks to expand the collaboration involving Apex2100's rigorous athletic training and 8billionideas' innovative educational content.
The key offer is a balanced and enriching programme that not only prepares students physically, but also equips them with critical thinking skills, resilience, and a strong academic foundation, making it a comprehensive approach to student development.
Sir Clive Woodward, celebrated for his leadership of the England Rugby Team to World Cup victory in 2003 and his significant role as Director of Sport with Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics, brings a wealth of high-performance coaching experience to the partnership.
Perform Better
The programme, titled ‘Perform Better’, was launched by 8billionideas in partnership with experts at Apex2100 in 2022 to support holistic development in students across various life aspects such as nutrition, sleep, digital wellness, and brain fitness. It is designed to prepare students for success in any high-pressure environment, be it in sports or academics.
The programme has been continuously evolving since its inception, with a Year 4–13 programme this academic year, built around 60 modules. In 2024, the plan is to expand to 140 modules, covering Reception to Year 13, reaching a total of 520 modules by 2025. This will be the equivalent of a ‘Perform Better’ lesson once a week for a child from Reception until they leave school.
David Harkin, CEO of 8billionideas, remarked on the collaboration: ‘This partnership represents a significant opportunity to enhance our educational programmes and help students around the world achieve their potential. The early adopters of Perform Better have taken it into their schools with open arms and the extension and increased flexibility of module choice will mean that schools can bespoke their Perform Better programmes suited perfectly for their needs, while learning from global experts.’
Sir Clive Woodward added, ‘The Perform Better programme strives to equip athletes with the necessary skills to perform at the highest possible level in all areas of life. The lessons over many years have helped our athletes at Apex reach their potential in the classroom and on the ski slopes. With 8billionideas we will spread that learning now to young people around the world.’
Used by schools worldwide
The 'Perform Better' programme is poised for wide international expansion. It has already been adopted by numerous schools and impacts thousands of students worldwide. The programme’s success lies in its comprehensive approach, which addresses the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of student development.
Schools and educators who are interested in adopting the 'Perform Better' programme are encouraged to contact 8billionideas for further information on integration options. This programme offers a unique opportunity to enhance educational offerings and prepare students for the challenges of the modern world.
